These hammocks come from a pilot scheme that is helping small-scale cotton farmers to work together to produce pesticide and fertiliser-free cotton.

The farmers are guaranteed a minimum return for their cotton that is always above market rates to ensure a fair deal and a good incentive for organic cotton production.

We are very pleased to support this scheme whilst it is still in its very early stages. By buying this hammock you really are helping make a difference both to the producers, the weavers and to the environment. Starting with this hammock, it is our long-term goal to have all our hammocks produced from certified organic fairtrade cotton.
