And not only do they look and feel great they are an earth friendly product, made from pesticide and fertiliser-free cotton on a hand loom which uses no electricity and leaves no carbon imprint but also keeps the tradition of hand weaving alive. Lastly, of course, these are a fair trade product, which means that the weaver recieves a fair wage and works in safe and healthy conditions - the producers are encouraged to grow independently and another step is taken on the path to equity in trade.

Hammocks such as this, ie without wooden spreader bars, are designed to be lain in diagonally rather than end to end. In this way, your body stretches the hammock open, keeping it nice and flat. The fabric beneath you is then held taught and firm beneath your back.
